Child Care Experience

From September 2019 to October 2020, I cared for Thiago (4) and Ian (9 months old) for 3 days per week. I helped Thiago with his homework, took him to school, prepared snacks for him, brought them to the park, played with them, brought them to the mountains, did their laundry and changed Ian's diapers. I have been occasionally caring for Pol since June 2021. I help him with his homework, bring him to the park, go skating, prepare snacks for him and play football with him.

I want to live the experience in USA as Au Pair because I love children, it is a great experience to play and take care of them, giving them the maximum positive things. Also, my passion to travel and get to know other cultures while I improve my English. I think this experience will make me also grow up as a person. I think that my strengths are my patience, responsibility, my desire to do activities, my love for children and my positivity.

I babysat Zeysan (14), Murat (7) and Zeynep (3) from May 2019 to March 2020, three times a week. I prepared meals, dropped and picked up from school, took them to the park, helped with homework, played and bathed them. From July 2021 to January 2022, I looked after Talha (6) and Miran (11), three times a week. I prepared meals, dropped and picked up from school, took them to the park, helped with homework, played and bathed them. I babysat Hazal (1) from January 2021 to January 2022. I supervised him, dressed him, prepared meals, fed him, organized after him, did laundry, changed diapers, bathed, took him to the park and supervised him while eating. From January to June 2022, I looked after a group of children ages 1 to 7 years old, on the weekends. I created a safe and stimulating environment for them, arranged games for their developments both indoor and outdoor, did educational activities, helped with homework, taught them personal care, prepared meals, changed diapers, put them into bed and cleaned after them.

Firstly, I have always been interested in American culture and lifestyle secondly, as an English student, I would like to improve my English skills. In addition, when I worked at kindergarten, I was aware that I love to spend time with children, also I believe that I am a very energetic and adaptable person. I have trained myself enough in childcare and language, I think it can be an advantage for both my guest family and the child. I have worked in kindergarten for 6 months. So, I have a lot of childcare experience, I know how to deal with them, and I've read many books on childcare to get the best out of their development, for example, Heide Murkoff's 'what to expect from a babysitter and nanny' handbook. I want to grow up with your child and explore this world again. For these reasons, I want to become an Au Pair.

I babysat Copter (3) from October 2019 to March 2021 occasionally. I helped him with homework and did indoor and outdoor activities with him. I babysat Wanmai (3mths) from January to May 2021 on weekends. I prepared bottles, fed and bathed her, dressed her, changed diapers and played with her. I volunteered at an organization from June to August 2021 providing child care to children ages 6 months to 13 years old. I played with the children inside and outside, changed diapers and helped with feeding them. Finally, I volunteered at a children's camp from November 2017 to March 2018 once a week. I prepared activities for the children, taught them English and played sports with them.

I have ambition of working in an international school I spend time with children, I feel very happy and calm. This is my biggest opportunity to improve my language, childcare skills and follow a dream that once spending time in USA and doing what I love. I'm interested in western culture and traditions, I would to be a part of American family.

**Kelly can care for children 2 years and older** From February to April 2015, I took care of Matthew (11) and Taylor (10) 2 days per week. I helped them with their homework and test preparation. From August to September 2019, I volunteered at a primary school with 4th grade children. I taught them different subjects and I was responsible for the working out lessons and presenting them to the class.

I would like to be an Au Pair because it affords me the opportunity to travel and experience a new culture whilst doing what I love, working with children. My love for travel saw me voyage to Rome on my own for a European tour with fellow young adults looking to see the world on a budget. This forced me to make new friends and navigate my way around new, foreign places. It definitely taught me how to be more independent and resourceful. Human connection plays a vital role in education (as well as caring for children as their au pair) because if one does not connect with the children then they will not be able to relate to the activities and lessons you wish to carry out with them. I worked at a child care center from June 2020 to September 2021 taking care of children ages 2 to 13 years old. I did fun activities with the children, played with them and taught them different topics. I babysat Earn (6) from December 2020 to March 2021. I looked after him and taught him Chinese language. Finally, I've babysat Winner since he was born in May 2015. I prepare meals, feed and bath him and put him down for naps.

I would be well suited to au pair cause I love children, I prefer spending time with the kids more than working in the office. Of course, I have the Infant Care experience of babysitting. I can organize the activities for children as my work, I have skills in a variety of fields in order music, knowledge, language. I think it is in line with my qualifications.

I've volunteered at a school since January 2019 teaching children ages 7 to 12 years old. I assist in the classroom, teach the children about Buddhism, prepare meals and supervise lunch time, plan activities and care for the children when they get sick. I took care of Win (1) from September 2020 to August 2021. I fed and bathed him, put him down for naps, played with him and carried him. Finally, I've looked after Bee (3) since June 2018. I prepare meals and feed him, then I bath him and put him to bed.

I want to have children caring experiences in order to learn different the behaviors of them, I desire to live in abroad with a host family, because I want to exchange and learn about American culture and way of life. And I would like to improve my English for communicate properly in my daily life. What I am confident that I can be an au pair is that I have had enough experience with childcare for many years at all ages. Understanding and loving to take care of children is one of the things that makes me happy. And I can get along well with others. Able to solve problems rationally, able to control my emotions as well, and always listen to the opinions of others. So I think I'm definitely qualified to join this program. My strength is being extrovert, confident, having a positive attitude towards myself and others. Responsible for my duties as well, and good-mood all the time.

I prepared fun activities. I babysat Samuel (9) in April 2022, five times a week. I took care of him, gave him snacks and helped with homework.

For most of my life, I have been surrounded by children and I have had the opportunity to take care of them. Since I was a child, I feel the need to provide them companionship, empathy, and care, and be a better person to be an example for them. I love helping them with their homework, playing, singing, and dancing with them. I would love to teach them my culture, my language, or any other good knowledge, at the same time I would love to receive the teachings from them. Also having experience, I can give them good care, I’m responsible, empathetic, caring, loving, a woman who can enjoy each moment with a child become a child. Being an Au Pair in the United States won’t only give me the opportunity to share with the children I’ll also get other benefits, as travel to another country, get to know another culture, meet new places, it also helps to grow as a person.

From October 2016 to January 2018 I was a full-time nanny and I took care of Carla (4), Carlos (6) and Noehmi (6 months). I helped them with homework, prepared their meals, supervised and bathed the baby. From March 2018 to November 2018 I took care of Waimer (4). I took care, prepared snacks, played and went out sometimes. From March 2015 to November 2015 I taught math to kids from 6 to 15 years old. Since January 2021 I have been taking care of Isabela (10) and Isaac (2). I prepare their meals, clean their rooms, drop off and pick them up from school, do the laundry and go outside with them, 2 hours a day.

I want to be an Au pair because I love children and to spend time with them, learn from them and teach. Another reason is, that I always wanted to be an older sister. I feel that this program can give me the opportunity. I also want to learn about other cultures and languages. I chose the United States because it is the country I have always dreamt of, because it has many cities and places to visit. I would like to work as an Au Pair because I think it would be a very beautiful and enriching experience, and also an opportunity to meet great people who, perhaps, could become a second family for me. **Chonnikran is willing to care for children ages 1 year and older** I did an internship at a pediatric ward in January 2020. From November to December 2018 I did an internship at a nursing school caring for children ages 12 years old and younger. I fed and bathed the children, did fun activities, and assessed their development. I babysat Sukanya (8) from April to May 2021. I played with her, prepared meals, bathed her and taught her English. I volunteered at an orphanage from July to August 2021. I taught English, helped with homework, read bedtime stories, and played with the children. I babysat my nieces ages 1, 2 and 5 years old from October to December 2019. I fed and bathed the children, gave the baby her bottles, changed diapers, and did their laundry.

I want to become an au pair because I really want to have a younger sister or brother but I couldn’t have them so this program is the closest thing so I can take care of my host family’s kid as my own sister/brother and I want to learn something new such as new culture, new people, and a new environment, and I love working with children I think my strengths are I am a nurse I have got an experience about taking care of the kids and I am a kind and nice person.
