Child Care Experience
From February 2020 to December 2022 I worked at Little elite kids preschool taking care of children ages 2 to 3 years old, five times a week. I helped with potty training, changed diapers, did sleep training and did educational activities. I babysat Waylon (8) Zaylon (5) and Zackery (1) from April 2020 to February 2022, five times a week. I planed sports events, drove them to different classes, prepared meals, helped with homework and played with them. From January 2019 to December 2021 I looked after Elands ( 3 months old ), three times a week. I fed her, put her to sleep, helped with potty trained, change diapers, played with her, helped with sensory development and helped with r skill development.

From December 2018 to November 2019 was an Au Pair in the USA, my host children were Bryce (12) and Wynne (13). I fed them breakfast, drove them to school and to all their activities, helped them with their homework and did all their laundry, etc. From December 2017 to December 2018 I was an Au Pair and my host kids were Karishma (4) and Ronak (5). My duties were get kids ready for school, drive to school and activities, prepare meals, arrange play dates, feed them dinner, bath and put them to bed. From March 2020 to October 2020 I worked as a teaching assistant.

I was a Christian leader at a school from June 2017 to June 2019 caring for children ages 13 to 18 years old. I facilitated group activities, built relationships and counselled teenagers. I took care of Meline (3), Duvan (3) and Franco (8) from January 2017 to November 2019 during school holidays. I fed the children, taught them new things, and took them to sports practices. Finally, I looked after Zander (1) from July to October 2020. I prepared bottles, fed him, played with him, changed diapers and put him down for naps.

I've always wanted to help people and learn from others and I believe this is an excellent opportunity, not only can I help but I can also learn and my love for kids will only strengthen my capability for this role. I'm a fast learner and can easily adapt, I'm loyal and trustworthy, I work hard and do not easily quit.
Child Care Experience
From March 2021 to April 2021 I was a volunteer in a primary school (4 - 6 years old). I assisted with classroom activities such as reading books, helping learners that need assistance, toilet routine, supervising class when the class teacher had to leave and supervising the kids on the play ground. From September 2020 until current 2021 I have been taking care Keyante (18 months). I'm in charge of feeding the baby, changing the diapers, bathing the baby and putting him to sleep. From June 2012 to current 2021 I have been taking care of Shylar Africa (9). The responsibilities and tasks have changed over the years, it started with bottle feeds and changing of diapers, playing with her till today where she needs to be assisted with school work.

This will be a new challenge, in a new country with a different culture, but my passion for children will remain the same. I have always wanted to experience American culture first-hand. Doing that while I am engaging in an activity that I am passionate about, is an amazing opportunity. It is also going to add to my experience for what I want to do after the cultural exchange program.

I volunteered at a preschool from March to April 2021 five days a week taking care of children ages 4 to 6 years old. I assisted the children with toilet routine, prepared activities, aided learners that needed assistance, read stories to the children, and supervised them in the play area. I've babysat Keyante (1) since September 2020 weekly as needed. I feed and bath him, change diapers and put him down for naps. Finally, I've babysat my niece since she was born in 2012 . When she was a baby, I bottle fed her and changed diapers. Now, I play with her and help with homework.

It would be a great joy helping parents in raising their children and being a part of their lives. I have a lot of experience taking care of children of different ages. I started taking care of children, while I was still at school. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a child growing up, knowing I contributed to the process. I am a qualified swimming instructor for Learn-to-swim students. I also have First aid level one (the first aid was also focused on emergency situations in and around water). From August 2017 to August 2018 I was an Au Pair in the Netherlands and I took care of Duco and Casper (5 and 7). My duties were taking and collecting the two from school, assist with out of school athletic activities, general house duties that included washing, clear out laundry and ironing. From November 2016 to September 2020 I was a swimming teacher for children in the ages of 2-16. I taught swimming techniques, swimming strokes and water safety to students with varying swimming abilities. I ensured safety of swimmers at all times and trained to react to emergency situations quickly. Since 2013 I have been taking care of Lianie, Elmone, Megan and Liam (5-15). I prepare meals, bath them, assisting with school work, reading to them, arts and crafts activities, taking them on bike rides, play with them at the park, take them to the beach, or play board games.

I chose to do the cultural exchange program because I really love children and I want to experience something different, meet new people and learn new things. My main strengths are that I am patient and love to learn new things. I really hope to gain a lot more insight and knowledge about life in another country, myself and to become more independent in the things I do and choices I make. Gaining confidence in the things I choose to do and in myself, are also goals. To gain so much more experience with the children and to make a positive impact in the lives of others around me as well as to meet different people and learn from their culture is what I am looking forward to.

I took care of them, did fun activities and helped with their growth. I babysat the Nel's family (3 and 6 years old) from March to November 2021, once a week. I took care of them, entertained them and prepared meals, From March to June 2021, I worked at Baanbreker preprimary school taking care of children ages 4 to 6 years old, five times a week. I supervised them, entertained them, did fun activities and did basic first AID duties. I baby sat at Steyn's Family in December. I assisted them with their daily routine.

I have always wanted to work with kids, and it ties up with another passion of mine which is travelling. My big dream is to experience snow in real life! In October 2018, for 2 weeks, 3 days a week and 7 hours a day, I looked after Nizaam (4). I prepared his meals, played with him, took him to playdates and bathed him. In July 2016 for 9 days, 5 hours a day, I took care of Levi (11). I picked him up from school, preapred his lunch, helped him with homework and played with him.

I have been babysitting since I was a teenager. I am well equipped with knowledge on how to take care of children. I have experience on helping out with homework and school work. I am a fast learner and a good listener, I am 100% hands on when a task is given to me, I will walk an extra mile to help out where I can. I am also very good with arts and crafts and I am able to teach the kids how to play soccer. Ever since I can remember, I loved being around children and helping them in any way I could.
